Coming Soon: The New Prowler 46
Based on the radically different asymmetrical hull form first introduced with the Prowler 42, the new Prowler 46 adds 24” of length in front of the console and 24” aft of the console, significantly expanding fishing space and capacities and further improving ride quality.
With an overall length of 45’10” and a 12’0” beam, the Prowler 46 is expected to weigh in at approximately 13,500 lbs. dry with engines. Recommended power will be quad 450 hp or quad 400 hp outboards. With quad Mercury Racing 450Rs, expected top speed is approximately 80 mph; optimal cruise is expected to be in the low to mid 50s.
The Prowler 46 shares the same console, hard top, coffin box/lounger and signature walk-through transom as the Prowler 42 but offers expanded fuel, storage and live well capacity, a larger cockpit, and more fishing space forward.
Notable options include an air-conditioned sleeper console and second-row seating behind the leaning post, which brings total seating to 10 adults.
The unique hull shape of the Prowler 46, 42, and 36 features an aggressive 26˚ transom deadrise, sharp 55˚ entries, and dual steps. Smooth, vertical inner sponson surfaces dramatically reduce spray and turbulence in the tunnel, improving efficiency. Typical cat quirks — leaning out in turns, bow-steering in a following sea, wallowing in the trough, and sneezing — are virtually eliminated.
Hull #1 is slated for delivery in mid-summer of 2020, and additional orders are being accepted.
